Tried standing in front of a 95mph delivery - there is absolutely no opportunity to react. I managed to get my bat on a few travelling at 75mph, but nowt quicker than that. I suspect the machine is a tiny bit harder than real life because you can watch the ball right from the bowlers hand, as opposed to just reacting when it appears from between the wheels - but I’m not sure that would have helped me much. Next to the net they had this big pallet of wood.
