We (Springfield Striders RC) had a cash surplus so lobbed it at Springfield CC, who are kinda-sorta our landlords - we just give them £500 a year and we get to share their pavilion, have co-signage outside and on the big Coronation Park noticeboard, and we all get free social membership of the CC. I think they only charge so little because they also have a cash surplus to deal with? I've no idea what club cricket finances look like but I can only triangulate between Striders on one side and the tennis club on the other - much more expensive operation but also has 'too much money' much of the time.
