What is happening? That's twice they have thrown it away from the jaws of victory?

Or... what happens when a really good one day team that is used to winning believes and backs itself. Vs a team without that in the bank

I'd say they pretty much threw it away/ England made a comeback twice in the same game. England were 149-8 after 40 overs - Rashid & Curran then got 76 for the 9th wicket.
Australia were 131-3 off 31 overs, basically no run-rate pressure at all, and it should've again been game over. They then lost 7 wickets for 64 runs.

My point really was that sides that are used to winning will find a way to win games they shouldn't. Sides that are used to losing tight games, will lose by and large.

Perhaps Labuschagne has taken the South African propensity to choke and infected the Aussies

For anyone with Amazon Prime there is a great documentary series following the Australian team after the ball tampering scandal. It is called The Test.
I’ve just watched the first two episodes which look at the 5-0 ODI series loss to England and the test series against Pakistan in UAE. Lots of behind the scenes filming in the dressing rooms.
