I like Officer Dibble. Put yourself in the bowlers position: he only plays his safe shots, leaves loads, doesn’t play rash shots, hangs in there. A nightmare to bowl at.
Of course they’re not going to all 4 corners, but instead are wondering how the hell to get him out - and they know they’ll have to get him out because he won’t be getting himself out.

I haven't watched him bat yet, Nicho. It looks like I am saying this with hindsight but it was always apparent that any success that Gary Ballance had was going to be short lived due to the over dominance of the bottom hand closing the face. He might be one of those but I suspect he might be one whose technique will allow him to score runs despite himself because he has the ability to be obdurate and concentrate for long periods.

On tour to NZ, we'd just got out of theplane, and Gooch said, right we should all go for a 5 mile run. Tuffers, "why's that skip, someone always throws the ball back?".
