Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi Wise Fetchies :-)

It turns out that this year they're not running the Chippenham Half :-( ...so how does it compare to the Bristol Half (I can't do the Swindon one as tackling the Spires and Steeple the sames day :-))

Muchle thanks in advance :-)

Bristol = Massive = Big crowds = Congestion = Etc, etc.

Mr Mick & NOT so Little Phil
Cricklade( 1:47 ) is a piece of cake compared to Swindon

Bristol when we did it, we'd have hammered it, but we were told we must start at back - we still clocked around 2:10

Bristol = I've done it.
Chippenham = I haven't.

:-)

I think it was 2007 when I did it, and it was an out and back along the Avon Gorge - I don't remember too much congestion, and apart from that, it was like most biggish city halfs.

I hated Bristol - but this was 6 years ago. The organisation was awful, couldn't get out of the finish area for an age afterwards. The goody bag was full of flyers and some concentrated cranberry juice, which most people choked on. And I got shoved in the back by some twat at the start.

It may well be lovely now...

Fetch is definitely wrong this time. Pudds is right, even if I suspect her "which most people choked on" comment is not backed up by hard data :-)
