Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I heard that.

Good to hear things are going well. I've been busy lately. I ran a 50k trail race a few weeks ago, all hills and valleys and creek crossings, the entire 50k. I am thinking of doing one more 50k before Chicago. It would be nearly equally hilly, could work against me in Chicago to beat my body up too much.

I'd love to run beyond marathon distance in training, but I don't think it is wise to do now, should have done it earlier in the year really. It must be good to have that confidence :-)

Hey Sarah how is the training going?

I was thinking, it looks like I might be off pacing duties for Chicago, but I won't be recovered from berlin to be able to really race, so I was thinking that if you needed any help for maybe the first half with some pacing ... let me know.

Hiya Contro

Training going well :) (I think!) I don't yet know what I'm targetting... it all depends on how my target races go pre-Chicago...

I imagine that if things are going *really* well I'll be targetting 3.22. If things are feeling a bit off I'll be targetting 3.30.

Gawd I hope I can do sub 3.30!! I can i can i can i can! :):):)

Let's chat nearer the time! :) Hope everything's going well for you for Berlin :)

I've decided to run the Punxsutawney 50k a month before the Chicago Marathon. I'm still running Chicago, but after two 50k's in two months, I won't be at my best.

Wow Frank - 50km is serious stuff! :) What sort of time will you be going for in Chicago after that then?
