I'll pass your comments on to Mrs R, Mr K. I must warn you that she's prone to violence, even if unprovoked.

Hi Glenn, Think of how much faster you could run;-) Remember those exercises we did in the workshop, practise them if you are not still doing so. When running you could also use the concept of grabbing an imaginary swiss ball! Put your arms out as if to give someone a hug, in this case the ball. Do this for a few seconds, drop your arms into regular arm swing position and see what happens, lower core should remain engaged. Do this a few times until you get a sense of falling forward
You might want to make sure no-one is watching;-) Give it a try and let me know how you get on.

By the way, regarding your hamstring/glute. If possible, adjust the seating position in your car so that your hips are slightly higher than your knees. Not always possible but in some cars it can be done. The bucket seats can play havoc with our bodies, especially if we are stuck in them for hours.

Thanks Mitch, I'll give it a go. Fortunately I'm a good ten years past the point where I cared if anyone was watching or not.
I also think I can do the seat adjustment you suggest too. Much appreciated.

Time to get my Chi fixed again
Catching up with Mitch and Marion on Saturday.
To be fair if I could run 20 miles a week without pain I would be happy.
The world has changed

Great day out.
Chris - I failed to get that information :¬0
Marion had not seen me for a while so the difference in my running was there for her to see.
Funny point, these days I run almost 10% on the treadmill so I have ZERO lean
Doesn't answer why my back has been so bad .
Coffee and a chat at the end was brilliant as well, sure I will be seeing Mitch again soon.

How do we all start running - either at the beginning of a run or after stopping for traffic etc? Just start running, lean until you fall, knee-bending exercise?
I begin my runs with the lean, but subsequent starts tend to be nothing special. If I think about it and no one's watching, it's the knee-bend.
