Lasya is now sending clear messages: she doesn't like my "new" house! I am moving everything from my parents house out and into the new building. So no more teetering stacks of books, cd's, surus chairs, tables, boxes of stuff, boxes of books, bookcases, stacks of unfiled paperwork... The open plan living space and my bedroom.are now clear, clean and tidy.
So this morning, she took a dump on the new sofa 😱😱😱
She also HATES my new blanket...
She has been scratching the moleskin of the new sofa too. I am pretty damn annoyed actually! She hasn't liked the "new" rug I have had for 2 years now either, taking dumps on it and scratching it...
She has NEVER done that before...

Have you tried any of those diffusers Hanneke? I used the Pet Remedy and Feliway ones for a while. Cats really don't like change.

I haven't no. Up to recently, she has been the world's most chilled cat...
I don't like diffusers but will have a look at my heebal treatments for cats tonight and see what I can do to calm her clearly frayed nerves. Bless her!
Also, because I have inadvertently removed nooks and crannies, I wonder if a cat cave would help... I could start with a box with a peep hole, a cushion and my worn pj top or something...

Must be the week for it. Bib gets very put out if we all walk round the house at the same time. Yesterday we all happened to be walking near her choice of 3 litter trays when she woke up. She found a nice safe space though and peed in Cedd's empty kit bag.

You can’t brush him, so he pulls is own hair out! πŸ™€ He found a quiet place to do it today.

Hanneke, valerian is supposed to be good for calming cats. I used some drops for Ellie's water to try to help her be calm with Kyri; no idea whether it worked of course! The rescue place gave us some valerian pillows when we adopted them.

Kyri does that Ally-C - and then plays with it if it was a particularly big matted bit.

We could (and probably should) brush him but the only bad bits are round his very fluffy bum (which does need our attention sometimes - the downside of floof!
