Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

aw, poor toilet roll.

Peggy did that to a kitchen roll the night after her "op" as I had locked her alone in the utility room. Brutal cat-mom that I am.

Caspar used to do that to toilet rolls. Daughter got a great video of him in the act of carrying the roll off in the middle of the night. He seems to have grown out of it now.

I think the cat and fox photo should be emailed to the local news. It’s just amazing. I had no idea cats and foxes could live in such Harmony. I’ve shared that photo with so many friends

Round here it would just spark off a debate about whether foxes are dangerous to cats and prompt lots of anecdotes about how people's cats were harmed by foxes - the rescue charity we got Ellie & Caspar from are very anti-fox. All I can say it that they've never been a problem to our cats in 15 years here. Pablo had an encounter a few years ago where they just stood and looked at each other for a couple of minutes, then the fox turned tail and trotted off. Not remotely aggressive at all.

When one of ours went walkabout some years back, we rigged up some low level cameras to see if we could spot him overnight (no-one could see them) when we watched them back we saw quite a few cats and foxes passing each other by with no bother at all.

I agree with SK that they get a bad press, particularly in London, however when we were renovating a house in SE London a few years ago, there was a fox family in the (overgrown) garden happily co-existing with the local cats. I do remember my very early morning journeys to the house and often seeing a fox loping down Lee High Road at 6.00 am!

Our cat and the cat upstairs and an old boy fox all used to sit on a shed roof together back in Streatham. He was a proper character that fox, SK version looks much younger and sleeker

I’m in SE London MH & that’s absolutely my experience.

I think he’s a year or so Dipps; there used be a bigger one. Must have gone through several generations in our time here.
