Boba cat. Mr LF got a pic just after her arrived before he went off to find a safe space.

They have been and looked at the hallway and looked at us in the lounge and have eaten a bit of food. All good signs I think but I've not had cats before. They've looked at the litter trays but not used them yet. They're 6 yr old siblings (boy and girl) whose previous owner relinquished them when they went into care.

We are being owned. Cedd's door doesn't quite shut properly. He has just woken us to say he had 2 cats under his bed but they've gone back downstairs now. His door is wedged shut to prevent return but I think Bib and Boba are getting settled in nicely with a bit of nocturnal exploration of the hall, stairs and landing!!! We have catnip toys and some fishing rod type toys to try out tomorrow. Thanks for the lovely reassurance. I'm sure they'll start using their litter trays soon.

Good that they feel comfortable enough to start to explore. It will take a bit of time.

Start them on identical litter to what they had before then you can gradually change it. Mason had to have some compost mixed in his to start with!

I've told this story before but when I first got Hester she went completely AWOL. She found a space that I didn't know existed behind a kitchen cupboard and didn't come out for about 12 hours. We even rang the rescue centre to say we thought she'd run away :-o

She now rules this house! :-)
