Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wonderful cat people I need advice

Dio seems to think that if he upstairs when he needs a poop the bath will do.

The 1st time it happened he had a bad tummy so we assumed he panicked but it’s been a few times now
Then he tries to cover it up like in a tray and gets mucky paws. He never does a wee in there.

Any ideas as to how to stop this?

They’d don’t like lemon so it may be worth sprinkling bath in that. Other than that maybe keep plonking him in his litter tray till he gets the hint
My nephew taught his cat to use the toilet so I guess that’s the alternative although I’ve never fancied it

How many litter trays do you have EP? We were advised one per cat plus one. Maybe an upstairs litter tray would help?

EP, keep some water in the bath. The problem then becomes where will Dio go. Water & more litter trays may be the answer

They have 1 tray

We had 2 at first but they always used one

Will try to keep door shut and use lemon!
I mean I’d rather he used the bath than floor but the litter box is ideal!

Are they indoor or outdoor cats EP? Indoor definitely need more than on tray according to everything I’ve read but interesting they only used one 🤷‍♀️

My 2 are quite happy sharing a tray, maybe because the elder was still pretty young when we got the second. I clean in twice a day.
