Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Having purred at the vet ....there is nothing obviously wrong
Giving them both a full spectrum wormer and if no better after Easter go back

The fact he's 100% fine in himself is a positive

Purring at the vet must be a first! Ours just cry and try to hide! Glad he got the all clear and hope the upset tummy clears up soon.

Our previous cat used to purr throughout any vet appointment. One vet called it stress purring, we've never entirely believed her.

My sister's cat had a number of health issues that required regular visits to the vet, and would purr loudly whenever the rectal thermometer was used.

I’ve heard of stress purring which can be to comfort themselves. It’s made me doubt my cats’ purrs at times.

Henky purrs at the vet - I remember the first time I took his to the very for his vaccinations & the vet couldn't hear his heart beat as he was purring so loud!
