When the batteries go it just unlocks. We hadn't noticed that the battery was getting low. Boba just sidled past Cuthbert and walked straight out. He only went in the garden and came back in when we poured some dry food in his bowl. The kitchen door is now shut so they can't get to the flap and my heart has just about stopped racing.
