Strong correlation with the door being open between the main living room (social cats domain) and the side room (7 anti-social cats space), which was done last week so the AC unit could cool both rooms. I suspect territory invasion lead to some form of toilet wars / impaired toilet access. Anyway, a cooler/fan has been bought for the side room, the door is closed, cat grouping returned to normal, and harmony restored And happily no signs of itchy bums.
