Hey hey! Start of week 3 today. It's been fairly easy so far. In fact, yesterday was a bit too easy, so I suspect that is a good sign.

Seems this thread is long dead, but there is no other C25k thread I could find, so rather than mess up the forum with more versions I thought I'd continue here.
I've been taking my dad on runs (he's in his early 60's). He finds it very hard. We've been working on week-1 of C25K for about 2 months now (he couldn't do the full session at first). Today we moved up to week 2 of it. He found it very difficult but he managed it! He looks in so much pain afterwards, like I do after doing a parkrun :O I think we'll have to stay on week 2 for a while before moving on.

The important thing about this programme is that you should feel free to repeat weeks if you are finding it too tough. There is a really good subreddit for C25K. On there you will find all sorts of people who are at various stages of the programme. There are many (probably most of them) that repeat weeks. Some have even gone back to the beginning and started again.
It is all about small gains. An ageing body takes longer to adapt and recover so it is not surprising that he is finding it tough going. It is a very well designed programme and I hope that your Dad enjoys the journey, however long it takes.

Still on week 2 with my dad. Must have been doing it about 3 weeks now. He always completes the session, but he is obviously finding it very difficult. Much more so than he found the week 1. So I don't we should push to week 3 any time soon. Hopefully he'll improve in time Some reason the step up from 60s runs to 90s runs has been really difficult for him.
Occasionally he has a good session, but normally he's really struggling on the last 1 or 2 runs.

Hi Torry. Didn't spot this earlier when I was looking for a C25K thread.
I'm just about to start Week 8. Trying this to build up sensibly after months of injury. So far, so good! How are you getting on?

I'm attempting it after a 6 year break from running. Starting Wk3. Cardio wise coping OK but knee injuries mean need to take it gently. Hoping last 6 months of working to get a base fitness again will help.

Struggling to get these in early in the day, which I know would be better than doing them at night when I'm more tired. Still on target though Week 3, run 1 done.
