Terrible coverage on 5 - almost insulting about the mass runners, comments about how slow the pace was and referring to them as "also rans"!

 re the commentary. I want to see the coverage as half our club seems to be there but I sense I'm going to want to throw stuff at the telly.

I thought that Mrs Winkle, especially when they referred to runners at about the 10 mile point who weren't that far behind the elites!

Really well organized, enjoyable half. Think I finished in about 1:27, are there chip timings as well as the gun ones online?

Well since it went past my house 2 miles in, I didn't bother with TV ;-). I watched the elite and a few faster runners there, then watched at the turn for Cannon Hill. After that went into town just got in as the men's 1 and 2 were finishing. and stayed around Broad street for the next two hours. Many a BRAT would have heard a cheer from me, and a few Bournville and Fetch runners (although I didn't see many vests.
I think we (the BRATs) might have won the club challenge again! ALL HAIL THE BRATS!!!

Was there anyone who wasn't cheering for the BRATs and Bournville?! I had the pleasure of being paced by two BRATs for the first 10 miles (when some Portuguese girl blew us all off up the hill ;-)) and they seemed to know every second person on the route.
TBH I don't have a problem with the TV coverage showing the elite races, for various reasons... if anyone wants to hear them, fmail me. I also don't mind being described as an "also ran" in a race where the World Champion finished 3rd.
