Looks like TVoD won't make the knockout stages.

Utah and Idaho both seem to have done better than English Rugby Players who we had last time there was a group stage IIRC

I liked Butterflies. Even though its milieu is a long way from me, it had a warmth and a sensitivity about it and wasn't just mugging and shouting.
I could do with a laugh, but hmm, nearly everything, a bit Father Ted will still do it, though.

Carla Lane's sitcoms have not been generally well received here but she attempted, mostly successfully, to place women and the woman's lot as the focus. Although criticised in Liverpool by some for portraying stereotypes, my 25 years living & working in the city can confirm that her personal and social observations were generally sharp and well observed.
'Butterflies' seemed lightweight at first but the character of Ria showed the silent war many women waged against being taken for granted.

A few minutes of Carla Lane’s wonderful Butterflies will tell you more about the human condition that a lifetime of Oxbridge old boys unfunny walks, plain silliness / titting about and pretending to run a bad hotel (imho obvs)
