PS I should also report that I finished Find a Way, which was gifted to me by the wonderful Bint, and very much enjoyed that, too.

Glad you enjoyed Find a Way, Linds. What an awesome woman! (both you and Diana Nyad, obvs)
I'm up to Chapter 3 of Nod and enjoying it so far

Columba
Having severely crocked my knee while attempting a little run this afternoon, I have been Resting and Elevating it ever since, and have got through quite a lot of Nod.
I was certainly enjoying it at Chapter 3; but not so sure now...

The Scribbler
Finished Ali Smith's Autumn this afternoon. Really didn't go anywhere for me. Loved the language and layers of dream like elements, but felt the lack of anything substantial behind it.

Sort of literary candy-floss, then, Scribbler?

The Scribbler
Not even candyfloss Columba, as it required a certain amount of attention to read. I feel like the fault may be with me and I've missed something. Or, more probably that I'm a bit set in my ways and don't like much modern fiction. I keep trying it, but after persisting with that, I feel like I need a good dose of Dickens to ground me. I've started Nod.

To my eternal shame, apart from ATOTC which I 'did' at school, I haven't read any Dickens at all.
