I had a quick look at DN and I'm a bit apprehensive. The font is quite small and the writing looks a bit too poetryish for me. I will read the first story to give it a chance but after struggling so hard with last month's choice (sorry, McG!) I may give myself a break and abandon it.

I'm about 75% through DN too. The stories are short enough to read in bite-sized chunks if you don't want to tackle the whole thing in one go

So.... we are nearing the end of July. So I want to re-pose the question I suggested a couple of weeks ago. We've not had a lot of activity on this month's book yet. Part of that might have been down to me being away and not being able to set up the thread/poll details over there>>> (or there VVVV) in a timely manner.
Do Book Groupees want to keep Dark Neighbourhood going into August? Wrill we have a few more takers if we do? Or would folk prefer a new book for August?

I don't think I'm going to read DN but would read a new choice that wasn't short stories fwiw (or non-fiction).

I have looked for it in three bookshops and not found it. The same with Angelmaker. I might read it in the future but it’d be nice to have another option. I would like to join in a discussion.

As a hint, books I've enjoyed on hols include Citadel, The Luminaries and that spooky one centred on Highgate Cemetery. (Or is there a specific thread?)
