Thanks to TheScribbler, who last time put us all in a graveyard. And thanks to all who choosinate.
Buried books Wrapped up in dry paper pages fictions are tucked in tidy rows of letters and leaves, folded tight. Spring worms through the bindings returning them to life. Words delve into our innards gripping, expanding, re-living feelings. Afresh to grow in our minds, thoughts, perspectives, vertigo. A plot visited, re-seen, put aside, passed on, replanted in other people.

All the delicious options for the April booook are now in the sidebar >>>>> or underneathbar for those on mobile VVVVVVVVVVV including polls and a discussion thread containing perhaps the dumbest 1-star review yet. Though I have also enjoyed this:
HM 1.0 out of 5 stars Book not well made Reviewed in Germany on 9 December 2020 Verified Purchase This was intended as a gift but is not suitable as it is badly finished. The pages are unevenly cut. Should I return it and order again? Or will every copy be the same?
and this:
Amazon Customer 1.0 out of 5 stars Ho-hum Reviewed in Canada on 25 February 2018 Verified Purchase This novel was well-written and cliche.

But my favourite might be:
Frequent Traveler 1.0 out of 5 stars Book would not download, so I paid for it and got nothing. Amazon refused help. Reviewed in the United States on 1 April 2019 Verified Purchase I did not like the person asking me to reconfigure my phone from scratch when the problem was (and is) clearly with the download. I did not like the person refusing to attempt a download themselves. I did not like the wasted time. I did not like the stolen money. I did confirm that the book would not download on two different devices, taking my device out of the equation. I do not like that I was expected to invest a large amount of my own time in debugging your faulty product. I do not like Amazon very much right now, either.

I hope Yaa Gyasi is thoroughly ashamed of herself and goes round to Frequent Traveler's house to sort that out right now.

I like the sound of this book, but started a different one last night having eventually finished the Feb book. Hope to get to the April one soon but may skip the March one

Don't feel bad Baz, the beauty of the book group is that *nothing's* compulsory. Sometimes I get a watched thread reminder and it's because someone has reviewed a book from a year or more back but no-one has to read them all.
Some books I've persevered through, others I've thought, 'nope never' and other ones I have come back to at some later date. Magpie Murders is still looking at me from my TBR pile, for example.

I have only ever given up on one book (A John le Carre) and tend to plough on regardless. Unfortunately I dont have enough time to read as much as I would like and my last 2 books have been tough going and led to me avoiding reading anything - well apart from fetch
