I read the extended version of The Stand by Stephen King earlier this year and thoroughly enjoyed going back to one of my favourite stories. As a result I took a punt on 11.22.63 and now don't want to put it down. It is building into a great plot and I hope that it is sustained.

Columba - re Henry James - I DNF'd The Golden Bowl a while back, but am going to try The Europeans soon - it's quite short and sound relatively straightforward...

Oh i heard parts of that as book of the week. It was a bit annoying. It reminded my of a C&W song. Maybe I shd try the book.

I gave up on it pretty quickly as an audiobook, found it dull but irritating, but a cousin loved it and it seemed so well-regarded I thought I’d give it a second chance.
