My first encounter with Stolly was supporting him on leg 3. I remember struggling into waterproofs on Esk Pike and him abandoning shortly after, we went down to Wasdale via Styhead and had a pint while we waited for the lovely Hester. Stolly fell asleep, face on the table in a puddle of beer.
