The words Joss Naylor Challenge see to have gone missing from first sentence above, apologies.

Rosehip
Sat next to a gang of youngsters in Jasper’s this morning, two of whom completed in 22 (or was it 21) and a few minutes- said their support couldn’t park at Dunmail and there was almost a queue somewhere- forget where) to get through/over a gate.

I’d love to see a revised schedule for 55 yr old female- but I doubt it would be any less unachievable for me than the current one is - much the pity

Think I might wait until I'm 55. Those extra couple of hours will make a hell of a difference!

FF - it was always going to be a fast one wasn't it? :-)

I am also of the opinion that the schedules on Ian's website are too fast early on. When I drew up my own JNC schedules (on a more modest scale than the one you used yesterday of course) I tried to get as much data as I could from other successful crossings and one thing they all had in common was that they struggled to maintain pace on legs 3 and 4, so I gave myself a bit more time on 1 and 2 - we're just talking a few minutes here - and in the end it worked quite well, illness notwithstanding. I guess you know all this though :-D Interesting to hear the historical precedent for the inaccurate schedules, from what I know of Joss's initial crossing this makes sense. You'd have thought they would have been sorted years back wouldn't you? Paul T used my schedules to good effect last weekend anyhow, so I'm quite pleased they're being used elsewhere! I thought we went off Gable fast enough on your JNC, Simon's yesterday is just insane. Wow.

D - yes, those extra few hours really make the difference. Don't wish your life away though eh? :-)

p.s. while we're talking about news, I've been notified of a successful CT and FGR this weekend.
