I’m going to add a feature to the relay map, so you can add your location, plus a radius that you can cover. Should be helpful in route mapping, to see who’s turf you need to get it to.

Waking this thread up to ask a question I was thinking of recceing part of the new route of the Greensand country ultra that I don't know very well -once it dries out a bit more - 🤞 runawayracing.com - but I can't make the route tie in to paths/rights of way on the OS map It's the bit of the river ivel/navigation way south of Jordan's Mill From what I remember, the route has been drawn the wrong side of the river... the route planner on here won't let me follow path to follow the drawn route and neither will the os maps ap. It gives me not On the video Fetch linked to in his blog they say "new bit of path the council has put in" but I can't find anything about it anywhere and the route is drawn on the parish/council boundary I'm sure its fine - I shall go and investigate at some point, fetcheveryone - wereyou planning to recce this bit? EdJ are you around? do you know about a new path? thanks |

Hi Rosehip - I'm hoping to do all of it in three different sections, if I can. I'm busy for the next couple of weekends though.

Good plan I think there's more tarmac on the new route than the old one , it generally looks a bit easier I might get to the Broom/Langford bit tomorrow if it doesn't rain much overnight - will let you know. |

A few years ago there was a very rough permissive path of sorts on the east bank of the river between Langford Mill and Jordan’s Mill - but I remember it being a bit dodgy and think it ceased to be, since I’m sure the last time I did the Kingfisher Way we had to do that bit via the road. However… this website - walkingclub.org.uk - would suggest that there is a permissive path once more.
