I was too hot, too cold and everything in between during that race. I was glad I wore an ear warmer headband, I get brain freeze when the wind gets up and whistles through my empty head

I ended up making a makeshift earplug from tissue to combat wind-induced earache! And my hands swelled up slightly, not sure what that was all about.

I'm not going to look, because I had a skew-wiffy buff on all the way round. And had to lift up my windshirt to show my number, which someone told me looked well dodgy
