Surrey Phil
Just got back from Eastbourne having walked as far as the Belle Tout lighthouse and taking the bus to the Birling Gap. Not happening for me this year but I'll be with you guys in spirit.

How's the training going everyone?

I'm afraid my mileage over the last couple of months has been pretty abysmal compared to last year.

At my daughters in Cambridge for a few days at the moment. Will have to make an effort to get some runs in along the South Downs next week when I return home.

Well, I've spent the last 3 weeks with my wrist in plaster and it's touch and go whether it will be off by Beachy but, either way, I will be on that start line.

Plenty of hills, some miles, no long runs at all. So par for the course :) Must do some more downhill running!

Sad face as I'm not using my place this year...

I'll think of you all on my final day on holiday in Cyprus!

Pretty much what Fleecy said! I’m underprepared and looking forward to it.

It's very hot down here in Brighton & Hove today. If it's the same next Saturday, I might think about carrying a bottle of water round with me.
I know there's plenty of aid stations on the route, but the course is very exposed in places. Might even have to dig out the old factor 50, I kid you not.

Having said all that, there's always the option of rehydrating in the pub with Fleecy & her chums about three quarters of the way round. Got to replace those lost calories with something.
