Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

sk - you have to swerve a bit to make sure you are in view of the camera. If that fails go back and run it again when the photographer can get a clear shot of you. Ask to see the picture and if you don't like it then fix whatever isn't right and do it again.

If you are Plodding Hippo then stand still in a good place to get just the right scenery too. :-)

Yesterday afternoon Ant had got through about 8,000 of 41,000 photos, and reckons Tuesday at some point, so give him until Wednesday before sending him turds through the post or something.

One day the photographers will have an electronic chip-sensing mat that will link to the camera and automatically tag the photo with the correct runner. Wirelessly.

Did I just invent something brilliant? It was my idea. I thought of it first. :-)

But then every race photo would be of you going over red timing mats...

I'd paint them green for off-road or grey for on-road. You'd never even notice. :-)

In fact, why have race numbers at all? Just an electric cattle-grid that kills anyone running over it that does NOT have a race timing chip.
