2 hours? Good god no...
The crappy time is the reason I am doing it. He was talking about doing a half last year and when he told me what his time was I laughed... that was in Oct 07, and here I am attempting to prove just how crap he is (he has 10 years on me as well)

Fans - just be realistic about the weather if it is bad. You'll make up time on the downwind bits but not as much as you lose on the upwind ones, and if you try to keep pace in the upwind bits you'll more than likely crash - so just adjust expectations and don't get downtrodden if things outside your control conspire against you.
Bah, far too sensible.

Harry dude - your training runs are 10mm (ish). If you ran at training pace you'll do 2:10. You won't run at training pace cos you'll be racing, so you've got a chance at sub 2, but certainly sub 2:10 should be yours.

The key to running upwind is to maintain effort, not pace.

OK, I'll take your word for it Hendo.
Now there's just the worry of what to wear, long sleeves, short sleeves, how many layers, gloves or no gloves, hat or no hat?
It's a good job I'm not nervous or anything

Bring everything and decide on the day! That'll be my strategy anyway.
