For some reason, probably to get best value from our PRS licence, we have speakers in the staff and pupils' bogs which pump out relatively harmless pop music.
It's my job to maintain the playlist for Radio Bog. Occasionally, I theme the playlist for the day, for instance today, to commemorate Robbie Burns, it became Jocky Bog for the day.
Tomorrow it will become Radio Dunny for Australia Day. I have currently 2 hours of music of a combination of ex soap actors and half decent Ozpop. Really, I want three hours, but don't like to repeat an artist more than twice (so Kylie's on twice, as are Crowded House, but I don't want any more Kylie/Crowded House)
What would you put on a radio playlist for Australia Day? And if it can go straight on without being radio edited first (I don't ever want to get a corporate rogering because of James Blunt ever again ;-)) so much the better. The demographic of the listeners, if you need to know, is kids aged 11-18 and their teachers, so I'm wary of putting anything from "Murder Ballds" in, for instance.
