Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Any Fetchie WujWum'ers ?

If you are you'll know what I mean...

If not:
Having heard her name mentioned on two running podcasts and then again in Adharanand Finn's Rise of the Ultra runners book (loved that, listened on Audible) I thought I'd investigate what Helen Hall was all about. It seems like she has worked miracles with injured runners and helped others go on to improve their performance by large margins.
I've been reading her book (on Kindle, probably not the best way to do so).
I find the writing style and the waffle a bit much, but am intrigued by the concepts - though apparently not enough to actually try the pre-run movements and start on the process ---

This might be one for the more efficient running thread ?

So, if anyone is WujWumming, what do you think?

or am I going to have to be the Fetch guinea pig?

On the other hand, I'm currently listening to Shane Benzi's "the lost art of running" - which seems to come from a similar place...

The book is probably good if you don't try to read it all in one go and stick to a chapter (pyramid layer) at a time and work from it.
You also need not to be irritated by her occasional hippy-drippyness and "sense of humour"

WujWum is warm up joints, warm up muscles - but not in the sense that we'd usually warm up or stretch

Just be prepared for an odd writing style!
