Can anyone recommend a good book for a beginner wanting to use a Heart Rate Monitor properly? I don't seem to be improving so want to train a bit smarter. Needs to be relatively easy to follow, I'm much more likely to stick with it if it's not overly complicated. Many thanks |

There's a section in Pfitzinger & Dougles on HR training, I think. amazon.co.uk It's also just a very good marathon training book anyway. And there's the infamous Hadd document too. Which may not meet your requirement of "not overly complicated" - but isn't very long, and then can be re-read to get the important stuff (and leave out the stuff about rats running on treadmills etc.) www.electricblues.com/html/Hadd.doc And come and visit us on the HR thread too. |
