Hi peeps, first time poster on here these are our go to games, all family events, boys (12&14) & missus [The Boss]. All played players in [] + me.

Ticket to Ride - Pennslyvania Edition - the use of shares becomes slightly more tactical than the basic. I am a huge TtR fan and have Japan, unopened awaiting my BiL to visit post lockdown [Boys, BiL]
Dominion [Boys]
Flamme Rouge [Boys]
Codenames [Boys, The Boss]
Mysterium [Boys, The Boss]
Cash n Guns [Everyone] bit can get nasty
Dixit [Boys, The Boss]
Pandemic & Pandemic Legacy [Boys. The Boss]
Get Bit [Boys. The Boss]

We have others but these are the ones that come out when we want some quality time together.

I'd put a pic on but have no idea how

Click on Gallery. Click on Upload Pictures. Click Choose Files then get to the file and picture that you want to upload, click on the picture and its name/number will appear by the side of the Choose Files . Add title if you want, tick the box if you want it in the public gallery, then click Upload
Your picture will appear, with a number [IMAGEnumber].

The easiest is to click on Copy Code which acts as a cut and paste, then past the number in the thread
[IMAGE 114117 except it will have a] at the end as well, so this gives the Catan Cake my daughter made for my wife's birthday.

Chrisity, thanks. Will post a pic of our favourites later

VJ we really enjoy it. There is a simple mechanic which requires a bit of luck, we use the peloton expansion and have some bot teams running at the same time. The game really takes off when you play a Tour so the fatigue cards carry over. During the half term break we have had it out over 3 days for an hour or 2 each time. I gave it a 9 out of 10 on boardgamegeek, only 2 games have got the same or better scores. TtR Pennsylvania (10) and TtR Nederlands (9)

It's taken more than seven years since I moved into this place, but I finally have (most) of my games now properly sorted and in the two Kallaxes that got delivered on Friday.

And to answer above, Flamme Rouge is great fun and you can play it solo if you buy the Peleton expansion or just add in the AI terms at lower player count to make things more fun with more bikes.

The AI teams always seem to bloody well win though!

Storage envy!

Would Flamme Rouge still be enjoyable for the kind of offspring who regularly come out with "oh - dad's watching cycling again' for most of the days when cycling is on Freeview TV during the summer?

VJ Definitely. It is a themed deck management game with the luck being introduced by shuffling your remaining cards. If you can afford it, I'd take the plunge or if you have a LGS see if they can get a copy out to try.
