Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I did have the rules for a two handed game using the basic set that we're very good and well balanced but sadly long since lost.

I need to back into my loft and see what games I gave up there and see if any of them have been made into an iPhone app.

So Jaipur is the latest game to have made its way into our collection. It's a two player card trading game that is fast and fun!

New to this thread. Favourite games are Settlers, Tikal, Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers and Maharaja: Palace Building in India.

Jaipur is a great little two-player filler game, but I find it really difficult to play well. You have to know exactly what your opponent is collecting and how many of each he or she has left; you cannot win by concentrating only on your own hand.

I received Patchwork from my BoardGameGeek Secret Santa at Christmas and will be trying that out soon and I think it might hit the Jaipur spot ...

Is Flamme Rouge good? I have played Ave Caesar quite a lot and it sounds as if it has similarities.

( +1 for Seven Wonders.)

Slightly less scope to screw your opponents over in Flamme Rouge than in Ave Casear. I do rate Flamme Rouge though.

Definitely better with the expansion so you can either play 5 and 6 players, or solo.

I've heard that Flamme Rouge is quite good fun. Might need to check it out.

I've not played 7 wonders but I do own the two player version "Duel". It's a fantastic game that has a lovely amount of depth and plays in around 45 minutes.

Azul is our latest acquisition. It supports up to 4 players, but we mainly play it with two and it is deeply tactical. It also plays in around 45 mins and is really easy to learn.
