I do indeed WW, in fact it was the posting of your picture over there that prompted me to revisit this site and have another look around. It's funny throwing caution to the wind so to speak, you're just waiting for it to come and get you and I almost got away with it but from 24 miles I was running on fumes.

As for winning the battle Ferg, well I was kind of hoping for another 42 seconds as you'd expect but I am certainly satisfied with what was a 3 minute PB.

my favourite marathon. On reflection much better than London, which at my plodding pace is a scrum where you cant possibly take the blue line consistently for the first 13 miles or so.

I might be GFA but London will be a glorified training run for me in future, while Abingdon is more of an A race

Hotel booked - Premier Inn at Didcot (around about mile 19 of the route, so I can have a quick shower on the way round) :-)

Running Beer
After 5 years of rest, I have finally given in and entered another marathon. Number 3 is going to be Abingdon...that is if I can get into good enough shape by September to do it, otherwise I will be offering the place to the waiting list. My PB is 5:15 from 2010 so if I don't improve on that I won't make cut-off. I best get out training so that I don't get caught by either my September cut-off or the race one.

I entered a while back but am currently unable to run, not sure now whether it's going to be sensible to target a marathon this year so it's sort of mentally on the back-burner at the moment.

I have done the last two years and enjoyed it (sort of!). I'm not *currently* planning an autumn marathon but I am tempted by the opportunity to meet all powerful Fetch! :-)
