My first thought is that it feels "bigger" than the other series so far. It doesn't feel from the trailer like it's going to be a little self-contained story in a quiet corner of the galaxy. It's going to be big events with wide consequences isn't it? |

That looks very star-warsy in way that some of the TV series haven't. Lots of time in space, with lightsabers, force use, etc. I'm excited!

I think I'm going to love Ahsoka, and I think any fans who've watched Clone Wars and Rebels (and possibly Mando) will too. I'm a bit concerned about how it's going to land with the casual SW fans who've maybe just watched the films and don't know who Ahsoka is, or anything of the Ghost crew. I understand they're going to be releasing 2 episodes the first week so hopefully they can slot in some backstory/exposition in a casual-friendly way that's not too clunky for the rest of us. 2 episodes gives them time to do that early, maybe? |

2 eps is pretty standard these days for a streaming launch to get people hooked in after a bout of anticipation. I suppose it does give the producers the option to effectively create a 2-parter whilst at the same time not putting off people with a 1h45 first episode that demands watching in one hit.

HappyG(rrr): Saw your post over on HTJI. Yes, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is playing Hera Syndulla, the Twilek pilot from Rebels, in Ahsoka.

Been watching it back in timeline order. (Not the series though as I’ve watched a lot of them fairly recently anyway). Just finished Return of the Jedi. Forgot how funny I find parts of the original trilogy and how ridiculous parts of it is. But love Solo. (Mainly as Donald Glover is a fab actor and it has Emilia Clarke in). Rogue One is also fantastic. Rebels is on my list to watch before Ahsoka but I haven’t finished Bad Batch either yet. |

That's a lot of Rebels episodes to get in over the next few weeks Roberto. If anyone has watched Rebels but wants a quick (?!) recap the "Children of the Watch" podcast has done a rewatch/recap over their last few episodes in their build up to Ahsoka's release. I've quite enjoyed it and dipped into rewatch a few episodes as a result. |

I'm a big fan of the movies(even the bad ones )but have watched NONE of the mini series. Maybe I was just ready to be done and move on with my life. However, I spend quite a chunk of time on the watt bike just riding easy so if I was going to branch out where would I start ? |

How are you with animation, Gobi? If you want just the live action stuff then The Mandalorian. Good fun. Very "Star Wars". If you particularly liked Rogue One then start with Andor. However (and I say this knowing how much training you put in so thinking you might have time for this) starting with The Clone Wars series you bridge the gap from Attack of the Clones through to the end of Revenge of the Sith and i think that makes both of those movies work much better. I'm sure others will have different views and they're not wrong either. |
