Stardate a long time ago.
And it's a far, far away. So twice as far as just far away.
I hope that's clear. Now get off my bridge!

Hola! I am loving Andor, all of the recent series have been very different. It's slow paced but such a good watch.

Andor is good, though only got to Ep4. Enjoyed there being a StarWars themed OnlyConnect question last week
The son of the (maligned) producer of RotJ (Richard Marquand) lives about 200m from where I do, and his boys and my boys have had some overlapping friendship groups from time to time. There was a point at which he was in the line for directing something live action SW related which would have been amazing, but that seems to have died down (James, son of Richard Marquand, has some films to his name, but nothing of great significance, so maybe he's just not quite "there" in terms of talent etc).
What I've really enjoyed about SW is that it has grown up with me; 5yo at Ep4 stage, so therefore a childhood favourite, and then when my boys were young we had the DVD releases and Ep1+, so it feels like an ever-presence.
Ep4 remains my favourite, probably more for sentimental reasons than anything else. Of the more recent stuff cinema stuff it was actually Rogue One which would be my standout.

Just rewatched 7, 8 and 9 and loved them. I'm hoping, with time, I may be able to love 1, 2 and 3 again. But they haven't gone well last times I've tried.
Enjoyed Obi Wan Kenobi series. Didn't get into the Mandalorian (I know everyone else seems to have loved it) and haven't tried Andor yet.
Rogue One and Solo were also both great, I thought. I'm easily pleased though! G

Haven’t started Andor yet; we’re catching up with the Rings of Power at the moment.

I've enjoyed Ep3 a fair bit; it was important for me to see the circuit closed between the early prequels and Ep4 and understand the Anakin / Vader story better. I've not gone back to 1 and 2, but actually my boys have the same sentimental attachment to those that I do with 4 as they were their cinematic introductions to the story arc.
Though now they love the Clone Wars series stuff which I'v enever found the time to go through. There's a lot of "canon" stuff in there which is way outside my knowledge. Maybe when I'm retired I'll plough through the lot of them!

I did go through the Clone Wars and Rebels series, and they are both really good stuff. There’s a lot of crossover from them into Mando and a bit bleeding over into Andor too.

Andor: there is no escape from the empire! The latest is excellent. Really loved it. Glad we’ve got Cyril Karn back in the show again.
