Sorry you've been unwell SW, what caused it?

Hope next year's better for you wolves.

Well done MM! :)

Run done this morning. It was raining when I got dressed so wore cap and waterproof, then boiled as the rain stopped within a mile.

Evening all. Ever feel like you need to split yourself in pieces to get things done? My duties, in order, are to my daughter, my family, my own mental wellbeing, and my job. Today I needed to do school run, drive to Mum's to take her for lunch for her birthday, pick veg from the garden that's needed doing for a while, second school run, make and store a pasta sauce with garden veg, sort dinner for TP who finished a meeting at 6 and has just gone out to another thing. And fit in a run. And support Turtle in the homework set by her tutor. Oh, and supposedly revising for work exams. It's been sprung on us that this year's "training" is an individual, 2hr practical exam. Eeek!!! So forget how life really works, we have to pretend for 2hrs we live in the textbook world many, myself included, have not visited in 10+ yrs 😱.
Anyway, something had to give. I managed the rest, but work had to wait.

Sounds manic, TM. I remember it well. Retirement is good.

Went on a hilly cross-country walk with Bruv (who is on a week's staycation), niece, and niece's dog. We climbed to the top of a hill with a trig point which I'd never been to before, though it's only 10 miles or so from home; admired the views, and found our way down by a different route with the help of niece's OS maps app. When I got home I found there was an email from the man who usually leads the Tuesday evening "gentle run" group; he couldn't make it tonight. Glad, as I had severe doubts whether my tired legs would be able to cope with even a gentle run.
