Hi Millsey and morning all. 2 out of 4 night shifts done, 2 more to go. No running as a result but may yoga later, we'll see! (will probably end up doing some homeschooling with turtle instead)
Hugs, smiles and well-dones to all on the thread as required!

Right the journey to running again begins. I’m being sensible for once and downloading the Couch to 5km app. I am known for going a bit gung-ho into things and entering huge events but I want to build up properly. Just waiting on my running armband to arrive - though after reading the thread a little may get a fit belt too! Hope everyone is well

I’m the opposite to FDNB, I never take anything with me but the clothes I’m wearing. Part of the joy of being out is being free of phones, etc.

Welcome Millsey :-)

I’ve got a water bottle belt from Sports Direct which has two smallish bottles either side of a pocket. The pocket has an internal elasticated divider so my phone can go in there and is held securely. The rest of the pocket can hold about 5 or 6 gels if required. There’s a useful external pouch as well which I use for empty wrappers so the rest don’t get sticky.

Time to get ready for Not The London Marathon. Will probably do about 13 miles. Beautiful day out there today!

Morning all!
Having a lie-in and thinking about where I’m going to run later - need a different route.
Weather’s good here - sorry if it isn’t where you are.

Have a good Sunday, lovely people xx

Enjoy, Pothunter :) No falling over!

Welcome Milsey, if Molesy comes back we can have Milsey and Molesy :) Drop me an fmail if you’d like to try an alternative C25K podcast!

I have an adjustable belt from amazon with a Swedish name I can’t remember. It’s comfy and takes a big phone and has a zip. My flip belt did not have a zip and flipped my phone on the ground several times so I ditched it.

Rest day today, done a lot of of squats the last few days and my quads and bum need a break!

Hello Millsey. Couch 2 5k is a great plan both for starting out and for returning after injury.

I hope you get some rest, TM.

Cold but sunny and still here. The bike is calling me but back days no. I might take it a tiny ride locally.

Morning :)

Hello Millsey, just stick to the plan and you'll do it.

Beautiful morning but I'll be biking today. Happy running runners.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
