We live in a road of chavs, the only music is car horns. And none of the old folk come out to clap which is weird. The kids seem to enjoy it (not mine obviously) but I think they are very very bored judging by the amount of time they and their parents spend chasing or pedalling up the street :) They have tiny gardens that side of the street so I don’t blame them

I insist Twiglet dances with me on the garden path - it's nice to know even at 25, I can still embarrass her!!

Hello all - missed loads sorry.

Our street puts on a really good show, and tonight we could hear all the boats in the docks sounding their horns. Som I am really struggling with tree pollen this year.

I did get out there, Ferret. To the tune of 3 miles.

Som, that left jab is all very well. provided your fist remains 2 metres away from the person you're aiming at.

While engaged in that 3-mile trot I passed the ex-pastor of the New Life Church (the Foodbank used to be located in the church's hall), and called out to him "here we both are still!" "Oh", he replied "I've had it!", and added "It wasn't very nice, but here I am".

Great to have had it, and know you are immune.

I don't think they're certain about that yet Columba (although it's likely).
And Som's fist will not make contact with anyone unless they're Too Close :)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
