Welcome. The only rule about actual mileage is itโ€™s good form to revise your target when you pass 700 miles, so everyone gets a go at being top of the league.

Thanks for stepping up again, Dipps!

I have quite a few races planned and some entered:)

Please can I have:
Carlisle half (March 15)
Windermere Marathon (May 17th)
and Lakeland 50 (July 25th)

in the sidebar as my target events ?

Thank you Dipps :)

The year should start with Stanstead Stagger on 5th Jan - With Doc M does anyone else fancy a long walk?

Great to know the 700ers are together again next year and thanks Dipps for holding the reins again.

Only a couple of races booked so far including Budapest half on 5 April. I'm hoping there will be more....

Jayfire
Hi all, newbie here

I'd like to join in with this what I am assuming is the obvious target of trying to hit 700 miles in 2020 ๐Ÿ˜. Could someone give me a quick idea of what I need to do...erm aside from running 700 miles in 2020 ๐Ÿ˜, and what is the difference of the group that I can join to this thread?

Sorry for being thick, I'm still getting my head around the website, cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

Welcome Jayfire you need to set your running target to 700 miles for 2020 and you will be in the 700 mileage league when it starts next year found over >>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Feel free to pop in thread as often as you like running is sometimes discussed :-)

Many threads across the site look on all subjects suggest you have a good look around and find what you like. However this is my favourite forum so I am biased :-)

Serendippily is the thread mother (looks after us) and you let her know any races you are planning and they will also be posted over >>>>>>>>

Have fun :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by Serendippily
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
