Not as sick as I am of 'social distancing' which is anything but social. Sorry for repeating myself.

LazyDaisy, a couple of paragraphs from the email I sent by the organisers.
All live events continue to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the latest guidance introduces several measures to ensure the safety of runners, staff and the general public.

Races are starting to resume albeit with limited numbers on the start line and with wave starts. However, Run Academy Worthing have made the difficult decision to postpone this year's race. The Club felt that they will be unable to provide a Covid secure event and meet all the current recommended guidelines in social distancing.

At this stage they are unsure what date in 2021 the event will take place so the Club will be pleased to refund your entry fee.

The Pilgrim Half on Sunday is certainly doing all it can to ensure there is no social element to it whatsoever :-(

Happy birthday Rosehip cake - a bit late in the day, but at least it’s within the correct 24 hour period.

I don’t think I’ve heard the phrase “Covid secure” before. I gather parkruns can (in theory) resume in England. Not yet in Wales.

Despite my complaining quads, I joined the running club for their “speed” session. Did a minimal amount of the speedy bursts, and lots of lengthy jog recoveries.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
