Good luck for anyone with races still on.
Glad we did our run yesterday.

Glad I did parkrun yesterday as the rest of the day was very uninviting. It has at least stopped snowing for now and is slightly melting. Local races all cancelled. Except the Hardmoors 55 which took place yesterday as planned. Different breed, those off-road ultra runners!

Morning :-)

I need to do a 30 minute recovery run this morning after I've finished the hoovering. Hoping to find somewhere where the pavements aren't too icy or I guess I *could* go to the gym and run on the...gasp...treadmill but I hate it sooo much

Lovely here again but I am not allowed to run two days in a row! I lounged in a hottub then swam a leisurely 500m. Last dance lesson tonight!

Wow. I got my three miles (I know! That's my 'Sunday Long Run' ;-) ) done in the teeth of driven snow - first time I've ever run where my specs kept filling with snow :-0 but I actually loved it :-) However just as I got home the snow got a *lot* heavier and it's been blizzarding ever since. I do hope all the Cubbers are safe - it's really not the weather for off road, hilly 10 mile runs.

I did a lovely 6 miles along the river, very pretty in the snow and not too cold. It seems to be melting now so I’m glad I made the most of it :)

Paula - the pavements are actually OK. Certainly the main roads are ice free and even the little roads only seem to have isolated patches.

30 mins recovery run done without having to resort to the dreadmill *fist pump*

Strength work later :-)
Lunch now!

I took the dog for a run/walk. The wind was biting and some bits of the pavement were icy. It was ok but I didn’t feel up to venturing down to the woods. Did lots of stretching, rollering and strength work instead.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
