V sorry to hear that Meglet. What a shame.
W London appears to have escaped. M4 was fine going home last night until W of Maidenhead, then a bit of snow but not much. Once of the motorway it got more interesting. Lots of hard packed snow on the roads. Not deep but a good covering. Land Rover throughly earned its spurs and ploughed through very happily. 4WD and off road tyres are the answer
Virtually no trains again today, so LR'd it back up to London this morning.
Kids had a fabulous snow day and couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had had.
Hope those who have lots are ok. Sorry for the boiler failures

Now my fingers and toes have warmed up, I'm thinking maybe a little run around the fields might be nice - into the wind so it blows me home I think

Freezing rain here - journey into work was slow. Been loads of accidents locally as sheet ice now everywhere. SIL fell over and hurt his back on way to train station.
Got into work and so far have had numerous broken down boilers, flat fire and that was all by 9.10am!!!

Lots of ice and drifting here. Will venture out to walk the dog later but not intending to do much else outside.
What a bummer, Meg!
Hope you get those boilers sorted, folks.
I've been thinking a lot about those who live on the streets - the wind chill must make it difficult for them to survive
