No, Ymee, I decided I was panicking and have spent a good deal of the day with my foot up and occasionally doing some exercises with the theraband the podiatrist gave me. It still feels very bruised but it is easing a little now. I'm seeing a physio tomorrow and he says he will give me some mobilising stuff and some checks I should do before I think about running again.

At the moment I'm not remotely interested in running, the memory of the pain yesterday is too fresh :-)

Carps, have you not done HDS before?
I'm just having a bonkers year doing daft things before I get too old and decrepit. I think I've always fancied a go at an assault course and this will be the nearest thing I'll do to one and even better as climbing things isn't involved, apart from the odd hill or two.
I think?

Natural obstacles only, AR! And Carp has done it loads before, but they do change it slightly every year :)

Evening all.

Nice day for Fraserburgh Half yesterday. Helped friend smash sub 2 target so was pleased. Cracking medal & post race feed.

Did you not like Pure Gym LG? I find the class times chopping & changing annoying. I’d go back to DL but not willing to pay four times the price.

LG - sounds horrendous, and indeed looks it too (I watched a HUN once). They're all masochists.

YMee - good luck with that work situation; doesn't sound at all a pleasant one to deal with.

I was never going Kim as I found classes were only on in the evening except pump after parkrun. Curves is more expensive but I went and it works - back at Slimming world too so hopefully it will get me back on track and fitter again

Ymee good luck with work situation. Lost my rag at work today - what i said needed saying, and people steered clear of me for rest of the day. I on the other hand managed to get lots of work done .........

About This Thread

Maintained by Mandymoo
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
