Nice one Ymee. :)

Make sure you take some warm clothing this weekend, remember how cold you got last year Fleecy.

It's due to be sunny all day and about 9 degrees so we ought to be ok. It can't be any colder than HDS anyway!

The main reason that I'm hoping not to take *too* long is that our journey back will involve 3 trains and a rail replacement bus, and will take about 2.5 hours. And as it's my birthday I'm planning on getting back in time for a birthday curry.

I'm not looking forward to that journey, so have put it off until the Sunday.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I managed my first run in something like forever, that wasn’t a horrible exhausting slog. I was starting to question the memories I had of actually liking running. I don’t know whether it was the cooler weather, my fitness starting to come back or me getting the pace right, or a bit of all of those. Whatever it was it was welcome.

We already have tickets booked, McG, so will make the best of it. Fortunately we aren't booked at a particular time so we don't have that stress, at least. The worst bit will probably be the walk back to Eastbourne station!

Afternoon all

Good luck this weekend with your races & travel arrangements🍀

We have been to see the consultant this morning. Mrs mb is booked in for an op in 3 weeks time she is loosing 1 boob definitely and is waiting for biopsy results on the other.

We now know the score & it could be a lot worse.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
