Apologies to Carp, I was so in the zone it took me a few minutes to realise who the lovely lady was that said 'Hello, David'!!! So pleased to see that Carp did finish the event, although at the start was unsure the 7.5 hours would be sufficient.

Great running Carp, it was bloody warm, and unseasonally warm for mid-October.

Well done on speedy parkrun Kim run

Beautiful photo um heart

Well done Linds, and thank you for marching heart

Sorry for not reporting in earlier, I just logged the run then went out. I survived, within the time limit, and got a PB :-o
I think I was not taking into account the terrain on my last 50k which took 8:41 in August. That was why I was genuinely convinced I'd be timed out.
Last time I did this race it was 2014 when I was running well and got 7:19.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
