I would've waved if I'd known DQ. Also if I'd've had a hand - as one hand was holding on to youngest, and other hand was holding our picnic Hope the chilly wind was refreshing as I suspect it must have been a warm one for you!

So happy for all the marathon runners Stonking performances! Mine, not so. But ok considering. Not a pw and the course was run the opposite way from last year and was a lot harder. But disappointed as I ran well for the first half but hey, prep was shite |

Home at last after an amazing day. Fetchpoint was completely awesome and I needed my Binthug as I had a terrible stich right in my diaphragm at the time (plus my sunglasses were really annoying me and I dumped them with Bint and JC) Race went really well. Just felt really relaxed for the first 15-16 miles and tucked in behind the 3:30 pacer with no great aim of catching him. 17-19 were horrible through Canary Wharf, though I was running ok. Then gritted my teeth from 19 onwards and headed for home. Other than 1 1/2 miles of not being able to breathe properly due to the stich, I actually overtook a lot of people. Tough last 7 miles but made it ok. Just chuffed to bits with my time and can now retire from road marathons! Propeor bloggage tomorrow. I wasn't sh*t and I hope Marigold would be proud of me |

Marvellous stuff, CStar! Linds: you did justice to your training and preparation by the sound of it |

He certainly would be CStar. Here's another barrow-load of And while we're talking about being proud of people, can I just pop this here: gloucestershirelive.co.uk I am so proud of my mates on the core team. The man involved survived and fingers crossed, he'll be ok. |
