I’m going to have to ditch my highest mileage year target - overnight stomach issues scuppered today’s run which leaves me with 24 miles to go and I think that just makes it too much of an ask for the final 3 days.

Morning all. Its freezing here and no heat still at work so I am sitting at my desk in my gorgeous new jacket and scarf I got for Christmas. Only 9 more days left in this dump after today!!! This makes me happy!

Get well soon all the poorly / injured folks.

I've got anything between 30 and 50 people coming. But they are Icelanders so they can DRINK. My morning will be icing the 42 cupcakes with MIL and getting the hall ready (we rented a place). I'll also get a tiny run in. My back has been grumpy for the past couple of days but seems ok this morning so I'll do my 4 x 3R/1W as planned. It is seriously Baltic here.

On my way home. Remarkably cold (for London). But blue sky and sunshine.

I am doing a one to one coaching session this morning. Depending on how that feels I might run as scheduled. Cold is no worse.

Morning gorgeous 4 mile crisp cold dog walk done. Some of the roads were sheet ice so will try and go for a run later (yes you did hear right).

Mileage has been very poor on running and bike this yeat but walking is good, almost 1100 miles

I met Alpenrose for a run, it was a bit too icy for speed (that’s my excuse) but we saw lots of birds on Lodmoor & sunrise on the esplanade.

[ferret, I read that as very insulting to Ms Rose... surely you don't need an excuse to meet the lovely Alpen :) ]

About This Thread

Maintained by Mandymoo
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
