Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Happy birthday MB :) I hope it involves cake

That's good news from not-so-good news Andy :)

Hope you find the bag AL, so annoying (and distracting) when you can't find something.

No more running here yet. Too dizzy and blood pressure is too low (was 88/60 last night). I slept for 12 hours last night but still feel knackered.

Sorry this one didn't work out, Andy, but it does look like you did well and should be well prepared for another opportunity when it arrives.

We are just leaving the lounge at Glasgow (blagged a pass for little-tri-boy who is on a plebian ticket) and off to gate to fly home. Huge storm in South Iceland; huge snow in North! Could be fun!

Fierce and Fearless Fleecy
My friend has low blood pressure Carp, she’s found that a couple of things like staying hydrated and wearing compression socks have helped her with exercise. Though the times she’s fainted have been when it’s been quite hot or she’s lifted heavy weights rather than when running. But then when it’s really cold her exercise induced asthma is worse! Sounds like you could do with a few 12 hour sleeps right now (())

Happy birthday MB! cake

Before I walked the dog I decided to barrow some of the logs OH had cut up from outside the garage round to the other side of the house. Annoyingly, (though probably amusingly if there'd been any spectators) walking the barrow backwards up the steps I completely forgot that there were a pair of garden pots planted with bulbs in the way, (a house-warming present from my sister to my son when he moves into his new house next week,) and fell backwards over the pots. No bones broken :-) but the rim of the pot dug right into the point where my gastrocnemius muscle and achilles tendon connect :-(. It feels really bruised but I still managed to do a little hill work session so hopefully the bruise will not have any worse consequences.

Oops my post just disappeared 👻

Recover quickly Carp, seems low BP has horrible symptoms. I could do with giving you some of my high BP then we’d both be about right.

Fleecy, you’d have been blown into a 3 counties run, I had strava pbs up all the hills TIL I turned for home, then it was all pws, was driven to pushing bike eventually :-0 . Wondering where Alpenrose ended up...

Oh dear LD, you'll just have to start living up to your name. :)

PT session this morning, I think he has a mission to regularly give me DOMS, so before they start kicking in I got out on my bike for 8 miles. The wind nearly blew me off at one spot as I waited to cross the road, but I stayed upright and in control.

Win win, as they say - a ride might have seen the DOMS off. We rode in a yellow wind warning weather alert. Don’t think I’ll attempt orange.

Maybe LazyDaisy needs to call herself ClumsyDaisy instead? At least you didn’t hurt your elbow again, that would have been annoying!

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
