I think I was colder at HUN when it was about 8c than HDS last year when it was about 2c. Getting changed at the speed of light is the key I think, even if you show your Boobs of Doom to everyone :)
FM is going to hold everyone's handbags for the Bog of Doom and the lake, so if you have a car key she can take it, some people have found in the past that their keys haven't worked after going through the Bog. And don't bother with a Garmin unless it's a waterproof one!

Afternoon, chickened out of a run this afternoon as I just cba'd so will go on my exercise bike instead. Alfie's coming for a sleepover so best do it now or he will want to sit on my knee and try and use the pedals ;-)

The Wig has been superseded by The Beard, Pimps :) Can't wait to show it off, though I must work out how to attach it more firmly

HDS is one of the few things that makes me feel better about being chronically broken ;)

Hurrah for 700-er meet-ups this weekend. :)

Good luck to all doing HDS tomorrow, I hope you manage to survive without any of your bits dropping off with the cold. luck

Phil, thought you'd like to know that the snow's starting to build nicely for you over here. :)

8 miles on the "easier" section of the SWCP today and a walk that included the start of tomorrow's more challenging route (had to turn back because the gusts of wind were too strong for me")

Have fun tomorrow HDS-ers :-)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
